The President of the Republic of Mozambique, Daniel Chapo, received José Luís Carneiro, parliamentary leader of the Portuguese Socialist Party, at a meeting where bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed. During the encounter, Carneiro transmitted to Chapo the commitment of PS deputies to contribute to the development of Mozambique.
This visit is part of the reinforcement of cooperation between Portugal and Mozambique, with special emphasis on political and economic areas. José Luís Carneiro is accompanied on this trip by Eurico Brilhante Dias, member of the leadership of the socialist parliamentary group.
Until Wednesday, the Portuguese delegation also has scheduled meetings with representatives of the Mozambican business and financial sector. These meetings aim to debate investment opportunities and economic collaboration between the two countries.
