PSD states that "defending the Fachos is defending our identity," considering that the ten Fachos that annually mark this tradition are much more than fireballs: they are living symbols of the history, courage, and identity of a people.
Councilors, municipal and parish deputies, as well as social-democratic militants, were at the sites of preparation and exhibition of the traditional Fachos.
This moment served simultaneously as a gathering among party members and as recognition of the voluntary work that allows one of the oldest and most identity-defining traditions to remain alive.
