The Férias no Bairro project took a group of 28 children to Troia beach, accompanied by 15 adults, including assistants and monitors. This leisure activity was part of the holiday program carried out during the summer.
The vice-president of the Setúbal City Council, Maria do Carmo Tiago, accompanied the start of the activity and highlighted the importance of these integration moments, which allow children to enjoy their holidays in a group setting.
The initiative was proposed by the monitor group of the project and had the support of the company Atlantic Ferries, which offered the catamaran boat tickets to all participants.
Férias no Bairro is a project carried out annually during different school break periods, integrated into the municipal program "Nosso Bairro, Nossa Cidade", developed in the Bela Vista area since 2012, based on direct population participation.
