The Volunteer Firefighters of Valença will promote a Solidarity Walk on September 13th, between Valença and Tui, in an initiative that aims to unite the two banks of the River Minho and raise support for the fire station. The walk will start at 10:00 and cover a route of about seven kilometres, crossing the international bridge that connects the two cities.
With the motto "We walk connected by history, united by solidarity", the initiative aims to celebrate the historical and friendship ties between the Valencian and Tudense communities, mobilizing both around a common cause and support for the Volunteer Firefighters of Valença, an institution that is daily on the front line in rescuing and protecting the population.
Participation costs ten euros, to be paid on the day of the walk. All registered participants will receive a water bottle, an energy bar and a souvenir related to the event. Registrations are open until September 5th and can be made in person at the Volunteer Firefighters of Valença headquarters or through the link available on the corporation's page. For more information, interested parties can contact the organization through the phone number 251 809 000.
