Covões Health Unit is in the Final Phase of Completion

The renovation and expansion project of the former Covões Library, intended for the installation of a Health Unit, is in the final phase of completion. The total investment for this project is 614,454 euros.

The Family Health Unit (USF) currently continues to operate in the building of the Casa do Povo, in the centre of the parish of Covões. The transfer to the new facilities will be carried out after the completion of the work.

Volunteer Firefighters of Valença Promote Solidarity Walk

The Volunteer Firefighters of Valença will promote, on September 13th, a Solidarity Walk between Valença and Tui, with a route of about seven kilometres that crosses the international bridge between the two cities. Under the motto "We walk connected by history, united by solidarity", the initiative aims to celebrate the historical ties between the two communities and raise support for the fire station. Participation costs ten euros and includes hydration, food and a souvenir. Registrations are open until September 5th, in person or online.
