Felgueiras beats Chaves and secures first win of the season

FC Felgueiras hosted and defeated GD Chaves this Sunday, 2-1, in a match counting for round four of Liga 2. Dudu Cruz opened the scoring for Felgueiras at 40 minutes, giving Moreno Teixeira's side a lead at halftime.

With the advantage on the scoreboard, the Felgueiras team came out pressing in the second half and extended the lead to 2-0 through Mario Rivas at 47 minutes. Chaves managed to pull one back at 63 minutes with a goal from André Rodrigues, but the score did not change again until the end.

With this result, FC Felgueiras rises to 10th place in the league table with 6 points, while Chaves remains in last place with just 1 point.

In the next round, the Felgueiras side faces Vizela on September 6th at 11 a.m.
