Adega Cooperativa de Almeirim won six Gold Medals in this year's edition of the Città del Vino European Wine Competition, reinforcing the international recognition of wines produced in the municipality. The distinction was presented during the awards ceremony held last Friday, August 28, at FATACIL in Lagoa.
The session was promoted by the Portuguese Association of Municipalities with Wine (AMPV) and took place at the Wine Space, in the Wine Lounge, after the official diploma presentation took place in Rome on July 11.
Portugal achieved in this edition of the competition a total of 10 Great Gold Medals and 73 Gold Medals, awarded to wines from 21 Portuguese municipalities. Among the most distinguished municipalities, Palmela stood out with four Great Gold Medals.
With the six medals won by Adega Cooperativa de Almeirim, the municipality once again asserted itself among the recognized Portuguese producers in this European wine competition.
