Rock in Rio 2026 takes place on September 4, 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 13 at Rock City in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. During the seven days of the event, a mega operation will run behind the scenes to ensure fresh water and proper sanitation for the attending public.

The concessionaire Iguá Rio is responsible for the official water supply and sewage collection at the festival. The company will mobilize around a hundred professionals and install a structure focused on spectator hydration and thermal comfort.

On event days, a hundred water carriers will circulate around Rock City, from 9 AM to 5 PM, mainly at the entrance gates and near the main stages. The operation will also feature ice-cold water misters to help with the public's thermal comfort.

In addition, Iguá Rio has announced it will install a mobile laboratory at the event. The structure will monitor the quality of the water distributed during the festival, ensuring that attendees' hydration is done safely.
