Eleven districts of mainland Portugal under yellow warning due to rain and thunderstorms

The Portuguese Institute for the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) placed 11 districts of mainland Portugal under yellow warning until 15:00 due to heavy rain, hail, thunderstorms and strong wind. The affected districts are Viana do Castelo, Braga, Bragança, Vila Real, Viseu, Guarda, Castelo Branco, Porto, Aveiro, Leiria and Coimbra, where periods of rain or showers, sometimes heavy and occasionally with hail, are expected.
