Vehicle traffic on the A24 motorway in the north-south direction was restored this Tuesday, the 15th, at kilometer 99, in the municipality of Lamego, in the Viseu district, after the storms that occurred at the beginning of the year. The information was reported by the Lamego City Council.
The section between the Valdigem/Armamar and Lamego/Tarouca interchanges had been completely closed on January 31 due to a landslide on the slope at kilometer 99, caused by bad weather. In February, traffic was partially reopened under a lane-switching regime, that is, under restricted conditions.
Now, with the consolidation work carried out, the north-south carriageway of the motorway is fully operational again. However, the Lamego City Council warned that one lane will remain restricted for a short period, due to the need to carry out temporary pavement repairs and maintenance work.
