Deputy Douglas Ruas (PL), candidate for Governor of Rio, participated on Tuesday in a forum on RJ1, Globo TV. During the interview, he was questioned about an exchange of praises made with former governor Cláudio Castro, of whom he was Secretary of Cities for almost three years.
Even though he held a position in Castro's administration, Ruas criticized the previous government, mainly in the areas of Public Security and Education. He tried to justify the exchange of praises by saying there is no excess of positions in Alerj.
The praises were exchanged at the beginning of the year, when Ruas's campaign ticket was still being formed. The first one was published by Castro in February on social media, stating that Ruas is prepared to continue the work that has been carried out.
The following month, in March, when news of Castro's departure emerged, Ruas responded with a praise, stating that Castro built a cycle of development and planning throughout the state.
