The Chega leader, Ventura, accused PSD and its leader, Aguiar-Branco, of trying to block an inquiry related to Luís Neves. Ventura again defended that the procedures for establishing this inquiry, which the party forced, should have started this Tuesday.
The accusation arises in the context of a political dispute between Chega and PSD regarding the investigation into Luís Neves, former director of the Military PJ. Ventura's party has been pressuring for the inquiry to proceed swiftly.
Aguiar-Branco, in turn, has been pointed to by Chega as responsible for attempts to delay or prevent progress on the procedures related to this case, which has generated tension between the two parties.
Ventura reiterated Chega's position that the inquiry is essential to clarify the facts and that any attempt to block by PSD is unacceptable from the standpoint of transparency and political accountability.
