Marcus Kalume defended the decentralization of high complexity services in Piauí, arguing that this measure is necessary to improve care for the state's population.
He also defended the expansion of health services in the interior of Piauí, seeking to bring care closer to the population living outside the capital.
According to Kalume, the decentralization of care can significantly reduce the need for patients from the interior to travel to Teresina for treatment.
