Court rejects precautionary measure from Amadora residents against Isaltino's "wall of trees"

Residents of a housing development located in the Carnaxide hills, in the municipality of Amadora, filed a precautionary measure against the Municipality of Oeiras. The residents opposed the planting of a row of trees that the Oeiras council implemented in front of their homes, considering it a kind of "wall of trees." The case was taken to court to try to stop or reverse the situation. The court ultimately dismissed the precautionary measure filed by the residents, not granting the residents' request. The planting was promoted by the council led by Isaltino Morais, president of the Municipality of Oeiras, as part of a tree-planting project in the border zone between the two municipalities.
