A property from Rioprevidência with an area equivalent to one-third of Caiçaras Island, at Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, South Zone of Rio de Janeiro, was auctioned off on Tuesday. The space was won by the Caiçaras Club for the minimum bid of R$ 23.7 million, which had been using the location for decades for social, sports, and recreational activities. The auction took place at Rioprevidência's headquarters in the city center.
