The new book "Fatima: A Century of Photography" was written by Luís Pavão and presents a collection of 408 images from the Archive of the Sanctuary of Fatima. The work traverses over a century of the sanctuary's history through the photographic eye.
Luís Pavão is recognized as one of the great names in contemporary Portuguese photography, having devoted a significant part of his career to the visual documentation of Fatima. His experience and discerning eye allowed him to select the most representative images from such a long history.
The presentation of the work took place last Saturday in Fatima, during a ceremony that brought together those interested in the history and photography of the sanctuary. The book represents an important contribution to the preservation of the visual memory of one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the Catholic world.
