The University of Évora held this Monday a public session at the Espírito Santo College to honor the patrons who contributed to supporting the institution and students in the 2025/2026 academic year. During the event, the financial contributions that allowed strengthening the university's operating conditions were highlighted.
The Student Social Support Fund, known as FASE-UÉvora, managed to gather approximately 177 thousand euros through 16 public and private entities. This amount represents a significant reinforcement in the available resources to support students at the Alentejo university.
As part of this support, 81 scholarships will be awarded for the 2025/2026 academic year, contributing to facilitating access and retention of students at the institution. These scholarships aim to support students facing economic difficulties.
The rector of the University of Évora, António Candeias, emphasized during the session the impact of these supports on study conditions and the ability to keep students at the university, recognizing the importance of the patrons' contribution to the institution's educational mission.
