The Mozambican Minister of Labour, Ivete Alane, today advocated for strengthening the control mechanisms of the National Social Security Institute (INSS) to prevent fraud, corruption and misuse of funds. Her statements come after accusations of misuse of funds in the institution.
Ivete Alane emphasized the need to implement stricter oversight measures to protect social security resources. The strengthening of controls aims to guarantee transparency in the management of funds intended for Mozambican workers.
The minister indicated that these measures come in the context of efforts to restore public trust in the country's social security system, after the scandals that became public.
