The Intermunicipal Community of the Setúbal Peninsula (CIM-PS) defends the creation of a high-altitude water capture system. This position arises in the context of discussions about regional water infrastructure resilience.
Frederico Rosa, mayor of Barreiro, considered it important to "create the necessary redundancies in high-altitude capture", as well as in distribution and storage, to guarantee a resilient regional system.
The official highlighted the need to reinforce the region's water infrastructures, in order to avoid supply failures and guarantee water supply even under adverse conditions.
