The main telecommunications operators in Portugal registered a sudden increase in internet access failures in the late afternoon of this Monday, according to data from the Downdetector website. The problems were concentrated mainly in broadband internet access, mobile networks and Wi-Fi across the country.
Meo was the most affected operator by the incident, registering a peak of 7,376 occurrences at 6:26 PM. Users reported problems with fixed broadband internet, Wi-Fi and mobile internet.
In the remaining operators, the peak of alerts occurred around 6:21 PM. NOS registered 322 occurrences, Vodafone 272 and Digi only 46, with similar problems in all three cases.
The number of occurrences is already decreasing, but the causes that originated the constraints are still not known.
