A rural fire broke out in the scrubland area of Malhada Alta, in the parish of Terena (São Pedro), in the municipality of Alandroal. The alert was registered at 3:59 PM and authorities managed to control the fire, entering the final phase at 6:30 PM.

In the fight against the fire, 53 personnel participated, supported by 17 ground vehicles and 1 aerial asset. The firefighters managed to control the spread of the flames and extinguish the fire.

After the fire was controlled, personnel remain on site to carry out mop-up and surveillance operations, in order to prevent possible re-ignitions.
