The CLDS program "Futuro + Presente – Mangualde 5G" reached about 1700 people in a six-month period, between February and July of this year, registering 1690 participations in various actions developed in the municipality.
The program's activities focus especially on active aging and promoting the autonomy of the senior population, themes considered priority given the demographic profile of the municipality.
Mangualde faces a significant aging challenge, with about 30 percent of its population being 65 years or older, which justifies the program's focus on this age group.
The CLDS is a local social development contract that aims to implement integrated responses to specific problems in each territory, with the "Futuro + Presente" program being an initiative by the municipality to respond to the needs of the local community.
