Madeira Ornithological Association Distinguished at International Competition

Funchal Notícias12 September 2026 at 19:13

The Madeira Ornithological Association (AOM) concluded with great success its participation in the 12th International do Sado, an event organized by the Setúbal Ornithological Club. The competition brought together breeders and reference associations in the field of ornithology, at an event of international prestige.

The Madeiran association achieved an impressive total of 11 podiums, having won 8 International Champion titles, 2 Vice Champion titles and a third place. This result is particularly notable considering that the participation was made with only 23 birds in competition.

Based solely on these 23 birds, the AOM achieved an extraordinary success rate, with practically half of the birds presented reaching podium positions. This performance demonstrates the exceptional quality of the specimens and the excellent work developed by the association.
