The city of São Paulo has already accumulated 196 millimeters of rain in September, almost three times the expected average for the entire month. According to the Municipal Emergency Management Center, in just 12 days, this is already the second rainiest September in the historical series, behind only 2015, when just over 198 millimeters were recorded. This Saturday morning continues unstable, with light and widespread rain in the Metropolitan Region.
Flooding was recorded on Marginal Tietê, with total blockage in the direction of Castelo Branco, on all lanes, in the region between the Bandeiras and Casa Verde bridges.
More than 34 thousand addresses are without electricity in the capital. The most affected neighborhoods are Ipiranga, in the South Zone, with about 8.7 thousand homes without power; São Lucas, in the East Zone, with nearly 3.9 thousand; and Tatuapé, also in the East Zone, with approximately 3.5 thousand. In Ipiranga, the outage began just before five in the morning.
