Thirteen districts in mainland Portugal will be under a yellow warning due to high maximum temperatures until Monday. The warning covers the districts of Évora, Lisbon and Setúbal, among ten other districts not specified in the article.
The Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA) issued this yellow warning, which represents the second lowest level on a three-level meteorological danger scale.
The warning initially applies to the southern region of the country, which includes Évora, Lisbon and Setúbal. From Sunday onwards, the district of Porto and the remaining northern region join the territories under yellow warning.
The high temperatures that prompted this weather warning thus gradually affect the entire mainland Portuguese territory over the weekend.
