Gardener arrested in Lagos on suspicion of killing couple and hiding bodies in a water tank

A 45-year-old man, a Brazilian citizen, was arrested by the Judicial Police in Lagos, in the Algarve, on suspicion of murdering a foreign couple for whom he worked as a gardener. The victims, a 79-year-old French businessman and a 62-year-old Romanian woman, were beaten to death in their own home, in a context of "extreme violence," and their bodies were hidden in a water tank on the property. The suspect was found by the GNR in the area with a large amount of money and valuables presumably belonging to the victims. The operation to remove the bodies was complex and time-consuming, involving the collaboration of the Lagos fire brigade.
