A network of burglars operated in the Algarve watching and raiding elderly people's homes. The burglars observed the victims' habits before entering the homes to commit the robberies.

The burglars took money and jewelry from the victims, who were immobilized and assaulted during the attacks. Violence was used to ensure that the elderly did not offer resistance.

The police investigation managed to identify ten victims, a number that may still increase. The victims are being heard for future memory, meaning their testimonies are being collected and recorded for later use in the judicial process.
