The K-pop shows at Rock in Rio, held on Friday (11), gathered a multitude of young people at Cidade do Rock, but also attracted many mature women who are fans of the musical genre. The phenomenon caught attention at the festival, showing that K-pop wins over audiences of different age groups.
Among the spectators was Sueli Monteiro, a 73-year-old retiree who traveled from Cabo Frio especially for the event alongside her friends. She revealed she is a great admirer of K-pop and dramas, and stated that the experience has been very positive.
Sueli said she is planning a trip to South Korea in April. Initially, she was worried about acceptance from the younger audience, but guaranteed that she was very well received and made new friends.
Despite having pneumonia, Sueli decided not to miss the festival. She attended the event all bundled up and stated that she would not let the illness stop her from going, demonstrating how much she enjoys the musical genre and the event.
