The 16th edition of "Ópera no Jardim" took place this Friday, September 11, in Almeirim, with a novelty: the show left its usual space and had the IVV staircase as its stage, with Jardim dos Charcos as the setting. Starting at 9:30 PM, the show brought together eight performers in a program dedicated to lyrical music.
The concert featured the participation of sopranos Hélia Castro, Patrícia Modesto and Taiana Froes, mezzo-soprano Cátia Moreso, tenor Bruno Almeida and baritones Christian Luján and Armando Calado, accompanied by Francisco Sassetti on piano.
The event was promoted by the Culture Department of the City Council of Almeirim and organized by Armando Calado, with the aim of continuing to bring opera to public space and bringing this musical genre closer to the local community.
The change of location also brought a new image to the show, with the IVV staircase functioning as a stage and Jardim dos Charcos surrounding the performance, enhancing a new setting of the city on this night dedicated to lyrical music.
