Neguinho da Beija-Flor gets emotional with the premiere of a musical in his honor

Neguinho da Beija-Flor, the 77-year-old samba artist, got emotional watching the premiere of the musical that brings his story to the stage. The show "O Neguinho da Beija-Flor — Musical" had its first performance on Thursday (10), at Teatro João Caetano, in downtown Rio de Janeiro, gathering friends and admirers of the artist.

After the session, the samba artist shared photos of the moment on social media and thanked everyone for the tribute. In a video posted on Instagram Stories, he expressed his happiness with the words: "I don't know where I'm going to put so much happiness. Thank you, thank you, and thank you."

Neguinho was accompanied by his wife, Elaine Reis, during the premiere. The production revisits different moments of his career, from his childhood in Baixada Fluminense to his rise as one of the great names in Brazilian samba.
