One of the best new acts in Brazilian pop music in recent years, Os Garotin performed on the Rock in Rio Sunset Stage on a Friday afternoon, when a light drizzle had sketched a rainbow behind the venue as the sun was setting over the City of Rock. The trio is formed by Cupertino, Anchietx and Léo Guima, who took the stage sharp alongside a full band.
The band brought all the textures that define the group's musical concept: charming and danceable pop with touches of soul and R&B. However, the sound didn't start well. The vocals were sometimes muffled, sometimes too loud, the bass was excessive, and the music from the sponsor booths near the Sunset was too loud.
The sound problems persisted during the first three songs of the show: "Garota," "Hoje eu vou me dar bem" and "Fantástica." After these initial tracks, the sound improved and the show flowed better, allowing the audience to enjoy the group's performance.
The review acknowledges that the audio problems were not the trio's fault. Despite the initial setbacks, the show was considered a first-rate performance, with the group delivering their best after the technical adjustments.
