President Lula (PT) appears with 46% of voting intentions in a potential second round against Senator Flavio Bolsonaro (PL), who registers 44%. The two candidates are technically tied, since the difference is within the 2 percentage point margin of error. The numbers remained the same as those in the previous poll, released on September 3.
The poll was conducted by Datafolha and commissioned by the Globo group and the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo. The institute heard 2,002 people aged 16 or over between September 8 and 10. The margin of error is 2 percentage points plus or minus, with a confidence level of 95%. The TSE registration number is BR-01833/2026.
In the second-round simulation, 8% of those interviewed said they would vote blank or null, and 1% responded that they don't know. The percentages also did not change compared to the previous poll, when 9% declared they would vote blank or null and 2% were undecided.
Datafolha also heard other second-round scenarios. In the dispute Lula (46%) against Ronaldo Caiado (PSD), the president maintains the same 46%, while Caiado appears with 41%, with no change compared to the previous poll.
