Moraes reacts to Mendonça and says minister protects 'political group' by maintaining secrecy in part of Master case

Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), accused Minister André Mendonça on this Friday of promoting a "selective and targeted survey" of classified documents to protect "a determined political group". The accusation was made in a new official document sent to the Court President, Edson Fachin.

Moraes stated that the other ministers continue without full access to documents related to the process that will be judged by the plenary next Tuesday. The manifestation was presented in response to a dispatch from Mendonça, who stated that the procedures related to the process had already had their secrecy lifted and were fully available to the ministers' offices.

The process in question is under the rapporteurship of André Mendonça and brings together elements of investigations involving banker Daniel Vorcaro, with impact on Tuesday's judgment. Mendonça defended that all procedures were available to the offices, but Moraes directly contested this assertion, stating "That is not what is in the records." To support his position, Moraes attached images from the system to the official document.

APA and ICNF restructuring 'behind closed doors'

Quercus expresses great concern regarding the restructuring of APA and ICNF, which according to the Minister of Environment and Energy is "practically ready", without environmental organizations having been consulted or received a response to a meeting request sent four months ago. The environmental association warns of the risks of a "deep simplification of licensing processes" and a focus on "post-authorization enforcement" rather than prevention, fears the centralization of decision-making power in national structures to the detriment of regional technical decisions, and reiterates the request for dialogue with the ministry.
