Datafolha Rio: Benedita da Silva leads with 18%, and five other candidates tied in the race for the second Senate seat

The Datafolha poll released this Friday shows that PT Senate candidate Benedita da Silva leads the race with 18% of voting intentions. The parliamentarian oscillated three points upward since the last survey conducted at the end of August, which is within the three percentage point margin of error up or down.

Rio de Janeiro voters will go to the polls on October 4 to choose two names to represent the state in the Federal Senate in Brasília. The poll shows that the race for the second seat is heated.

In second place are candidates Carlos Jordy (PL), current federal deputy, and Carlos Portinho (PL), already a senator, both with 10% of voting intentions. The two are supported by the current senator from Rio and presidential candidate, Flávio Bolsonaro.
