The president of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), Edson Fachin, determined on this Friday (11) the lifting of secrecy on all documents related to the Master case. The decision fulfills a request from the Attorney General's Office (PGR).
Fachin established a 24-hour deadline for Minister André Mendonça, rapporteur of the case, to make available to the other members of the Court the procedures linked to the main investigation of Operation Compliance Zero and to lift the secrecy.
In requesting the measure, the PGR argued that the disclosure of only part of the records could convey a "misleading idea of transparency." According to the agency, the list of documents released by Mendonça did not include several procedures related to the central core of the investigation.
In the decision, Fachin determined that all material linked to the main investigation be released, with one exception: proceedings that are still ongoing or have not yet been carried out and whose disclosure could harm the investigations.
