A fan was arrested by the Public Security Police (PSP) while trying to attend the match between FC Porto and Manchester City. The man had been banned from attending sports venues, but he still showed up at the stadium to watch the game.
The PSP announced the arrest of the individual, who may face a charge of qualified disobedience. This accusation stems from the fact that the man disobeyed a court order that prohibited him from entering stadiums and other sports event venues.
Qualified disobedience is punishable by a prison sentence of up to two years or a fine of up to 240 days. This is a measure aimed at ensuring that people who represent a danger or who have committed previous offenses cannot disrupt sporting events.
