The Chega party will bring to parliamentary debate a proposal to reduce fuel VAT to 13%. The party challenged the PS, currently in government, to approve this measure.
In addition to this proposal, Chega also intends to debate an initiative to impose zero VAT on essential food goods. This measure aims to alleviate the cost of living for the Portuguese population.
Chega will also propose the abolition of tolls on the 25 de Abril and Vasco da Gama bridges, both located in the Lisbon area. This is another initiative that the party wants to see discussed and voted on in the Assembly of the Republic.
