Cáritas Portuguesa, in partnership with Cáritas Diocesana do Funchal, promotes on September 12 and 13, Saturday and Sunday, a new edition of the National Food Collection Campaign. The initiative, known as the "Bag Campaign", will take place at Pingo Doce commercial outlets in Madeira and Porto Santo.
The campaign counts on the support of volunteers who will be present at the supermarkets to collect donations from customers. The main objective is to raise food goods to support families in situations of greater vulnerability in the Autonomous Region of Madeira.
This is not the first edition of this campaign, as there was a previous edition that took place during the same period, demonstrating the ongoing nature of this solidarity action. Cáritas has been carrying out these initiatives on a regular basis to meet the growing needs for food support in the region.
