MOONSET LIS success makes nighttime transport grow at Lisbon Airport

The MOONSET LIS, a pilot project for on-demand nighttime transport for workers at Humberto Delgado Airport, will increase its operating area after having registered over 1,600 trips. The expansion is promoted by ANA – Aeroportos de Portugal | VINCI Airports, in partnership with TML – Transportes Metropolitanos de Lisboa and VIA, seeking to test this mobility solution for employees who work during the night at the airport. The service operates through an application that allows users to request transport within a defined zone, operating during the nighttime period. This initiative comes in response to the travel needs of workers who have differentiated schedules and who frequently had no public transport alternatives available. VIA is responsible for the service management technology, while TML ensures integration with the remaining transport network in the Lisbon region.
