The Competition Authority (AdC) decided not to oppose the purchase of waste company RDUZ by Puro Planet, thus giving the green light to the concentration operation between the two companies. The decision was made without imposing conditions.
The regulator considered that the operation is not likely to create significant obstacles to effective competition in the national market or a substantial part of it. This assessment allowed the AdC to approve the transaction without restrictions.
RDUZ is a company specialized in the waste sector, while Puro Planet is the acquiring company. The operation thus involves the integration of a waste management company into a broader business structure.
The decision was communicated through a note published on the official AdC website, where the grounds for the approval without opposition of this business concentration in the waste sector in Portugal were explained.
