An autistic child was trapped, this Monday, in a lake in Saint Paul, in the US state of Minnesota, after leaving home without the family noticing. The incident occurred when the family members did not realize the child had left the house.

A police drone arrived at the scene two minutes before the officers. Through the drone, it was possible to indicate the exact location of the child and assess their condition, which allowed for a faster and more informed response from the authorities.

The officers managed to remove the child from the water safely. The use of the drone proved crucial in quickly locating the child in the lake and ensuring that the rescuers arrived with the necessary information to intervene effectively.
