Marcos Freitas and Tiago Apolónia 'fall' in the quarterfinals at the WTT Contender in Panagyurishte

The Portuguese players Marcos Freitas and Tiago Apolónia were eliminated in the quarterfinals of men's doubles at the WTT Contender table tennis event in Panagyurishte, Bulgaria. The Portuguese pair lost to the French Florian Bourrassaud and Esteban Dorr, the top seeds of the tournament.

The Portuguese pair had secured qualification for the quarterfinals on Thursday, by beating the Puerto Rican Angel Naranjo and the Swedish Martin Friis, both from qualifying, 3-1.

With this defeat, Marcos Freitas and Tiago Apolónia could not advance to the semifinals of the international competition taking place in Bulgaria.
