Gil Vicente loans Melro to Vianense

Alto Minho11 September 2026 at 18:13

Gil Vicente has loaned Rodrigo Melro to Vianense until the end of the season. The 22-year-old winger thus temporarily leaves the Barcelos club to represent the Minho side.

Melro is from Viana do Castelo, the city where Vianense is based. The transfer to the club of his hometown represents a return to the region where he was born.

During this September, the young player had moved from Chaves to Gil Vicente in a permanent transfer. The passage through Chaves was thus short, lasting only a few days before being loaned to Vianense.

Throughout his career, Rodrigo Melro has also represented Trofense and Famalicão's under-23 team, in addition to having played for Chaves and now Gil Vicente and Vianense.
