The Municipal Water and Sanitation Services (SMAS) of Viseu signed three construction contracts for the reinforcement of water supply and sanitation networks in the municipality, with a total investment exceeding 215 thousand euros. The interventions cover the parishes of Rio de Loba, São Cipriano and Vil de Souto and Mundão, with the planned execution of over one kilometre of domestic wastewater drainage networks.
In Travassós de Cima, in the parish of Rio de Loba, the construction project includes the execution of the basic sanitation network in Rua dos Trigais, with an execution period of 240 days, also including the reinforcement of the water supply network. In Outeiro do Pinheiro, in the parish of São Cipriano and Vil de Souto, the basic sanitation network will be executed in Travessa da Vinha, with a planned period of 90 days and also the reinforcement of the water supply network.
In Mundão, the intervention on Rua da Pirraça provides for the execution, over 60 days, of 411 metres of domestic wastewater drainage network, allowing connection to an existing collector. The works are part of SMAS de Viseu's strategy of reinforcement and expansion of water and sanitation networks, seeking to respond to the needs of the parishes and contribute to the improvement of public infrastructure.
