The district of Setúbal is under yellow alert due to hot weather, with maximum temperatures exceeding 35°C and approaching 40°C in the central and southern regions of the country. From the 13th onwards, a gradual decrease in relative humidity and poor nocturnal recovery is expected, which may lead to tropical nights. The combination of high temperatures with east wind and gusts up to 40 km/h raises the danger of rural fires to "Very High" to "Maximum" levels, especially in the central interior, south and Algarve. Civil Protection recommends that the population avoid sun exposure between 11:00 and 17:00, apply sunscreen every two hours, maintain good hydration and wear cool clothing that covers the body.
