A huge waterspout formed this Thursday off the coast of Tigullio, near Genoa, in Italy. The weather phenomenon was captured in images that circulated widely.
The phenomenon caused no casualties. The water column advanced through the sea between several vessels, including a tourist ferry that was in the area.
The waterspout eventually dissipated before reaching the coast, causing no significant material damage or injuries.
