Márcio Local brings Brazilian soul samba to the world and lands a song on Globoplay

Márcio Local is a singer and songwriter born and raised in Realengo, Rio de Janeiro, who has built a musical trajectory that crosses borders, combining samba, soul and other references of Brazilian Black music. His formation was marked by the influence of names like Jorge Ben Jor, Tim Maia, Banda Black Rio, Carlos Dafé and Trio Mocotó, shaping a work that dialogues with samba, soul, funk and rap.

The artist's career has taken him from national stages to international performances in cities like Washington, London, Paris and Abu Dhabi, earning global recognition and presence in internationally-reaching productions.

The album "Samba Sem Nenhum Problema" marked a turning point in Márcio Local's international projection. The record sparked the interest of figures in the music industry, such as Armando Pittigliani and producer Mario Caldato Jr., which paved the way for the release of his work in the United States through the Eternia Records label.

Currently, the singer has landed a song on the Globoplay platform, further expanding his visibility among Brazilian and international audiences.

Flavors and music close the "Afternoons at the Grocer's" event

The sixth edition of "Tardes à Merceeiro," an initiative promoted by the Setúbal Municipal Council, took place next to the Mercearia Confiança de Troino, with a gastronomic experience accompanied by live music, closing the 2026 edition.
