UNED arrived at the Active Aging Center of Castelló, offering 11 subjects for people aged 55 or over who wish to continue their education. This year, the distance university established a headquarters at the Senior Center for Active and Healthy Aging, located on Enmedio street.
The agreement was formalized through a signing between the mayor of Castelló, Begoña Carrasco, and the associate director of UNED in Castellón, Alejandro Ribes. This agreement allows elderly people from Castelló to access university courses without having to travel to other facilities.
The municipal council contributes funding of 20,000 euros to support this educational initiative. This collaboration between the city council and UNED aims to promote active aging and continuing education for seniors in the city.
