An enormous waterspout formed on Thursday off the coast of Tigullio, near Genoa, in Italy. The meteorological phenomenon was captured on camera by a witness, showing the water column advancing across the sea.

In the images, it is possible to observe the waterspout grazing several vessels, including a tourist ferry. The phenomenon did not cause significant damage.

The region should be hit this Saturday by very strong wind gusts, which suggests that the meteorological conditions in the area remain unstable.
