Mercedes-AMG developed an extreme version of the CLE, called 646 Spezialanfertigung, which goes far beyond what conventional tuning allows. This special edition is limited to just 30 units and represents the brand's most radical commitment in the high-performance coupé segment.
The vehicle is based on the CLE 53 platform, but receives a bi-turbo V8 engine with 646 horsepower. This rear-wheel drive configuration allows significantly superior performance compared to the original model, with a weight reduction of approximately 170 kilograms.
The bodywork has been deeply modified for this special version, clearly differentiating it from the standard model's design. Although it is homologated for road use, much of the development of this version was oriented towards circuit use, evidencing its sporting vocation.
